Ok, ready to bring some interest to your kitchen design with one of the most popular paint colors for kitchen cabinets?

Let’s kick off the list with my personal favorite color for kitchen cabinets: greige.

2 Gorgeous Greige Kitchen Cabinet Colors

Greige kitchen cabinets are perfect for someone who prefers a conservative color palette, but wants to be a little bit more adventurous than white.

    1. Pashmina by Benjamin Moore (AF-100)

Pashmina – LRV: 44.2 (LRV, or Light Reflectance Value is a scale commonly used by design professionals where 0 = absolute black and 100 is pure white.)

    Benjamin Moore – Pashmina (AF-100)

Pashmina by Benjamin Moore is a beautiful medium greige paint color that tends to look amazing on kitchen cabinets.

It’s one of my all-time favorite kitchen cabinet colors. With the perfect mix of poise and flair, you’ll love how Pashmina can bring a kitchen to life.

Perfectly balanced between warm and cool, light and dark—a sophisticated neutral that you can use anywhere.

    2. Naturel by Sherwin Williams (SW 7542)

Naturel – LRV: 54 (LRV, or Light Reflectance Value is a scale commonly used by design professionals where 0 = absolute black and 100 is pure white.)

    Sherwin-Williams Naturel (SW 7542)

Naturel by Sherwin Williams is a light and bright greige that looks right at home on kitchen cabinets.

The color is warm and inviting. It welcomes you with the slight glow of a soft yellow undertone. Naturel is still fairly neutral, and will pair nicely with most other wall and trim colors.

3 of the Best Green Kitchen Cabinet Colors

Green is a bold paint color choice for kitchen cabinets, but when you get it right, the results are out of this world.

    1. Pigeon by Farrow & Ball (No. 25)

Pigeon – LRV: 35.32 (LRV, or Light Reflectance Value is a scale commonly used by design professionals where 0 = absolute black and 100 is pure white.)

    Farrow & Ball – Pigeon (No. 25)

Pigeon is a beautiful medium dark blue-gray paint color. Farrow & Ball paint colors rarely find their way to the top of my lists, but I’m absolutely in love with Ball (No. 25)!

It seems like this color might draw too much attention to itself, but in practice, it can be the perfect centerpiece of a color palette.

This cosy and nostalgic blue grey is named after the colour of the bird often sighted around the London landscape. Softer and bluer than more contemporary grey shades like Mole’s Breath, Pigeon is particularly suited for use in boot rooms, cloakrooms or darker spaces like studies and panelled rooms. It is also incredibly popular on kitchen islands with the more delicate Dimpse on units.

    Sherwin-Williams Clary Sage (SW 6178)

If you want a green kitchen cabinet color that’s on the lighter side, but still proudly green, check out Clary Sage by Sherwin-Williams.

Bring a botanical vibe to your space with this soft herbal green. This calming hue is warmed by a slight yellow undertone.

In the kitchen below, you can see that the Clary Green cabinets look light and bright (but not too washed out) with some bright natural light.

Thunderous – LRV: 15 (LRV, or Light Reflectance Value is a scale commonly used by design professionals where 0 = absolute black and 100 is pure white.)

    Sherwin-Williams – Thunderous (SW 6201)

Thunderous by Sherwin-Willims is a stunning dark green paint color that is perfect for kitchen cabinets.

Find yourself in the depths of nature with this deep and comforting green. Its cool gray undertone allows it to pair well with other nature-inspired neutrals.

In the image below, this paint color fits right in with the countertop greenery, and the fir trees out the window.

3 Popular Dark Kitchen Cabinet Colors

If you’re interested in the darker kitchen cabinet paint colors, check out this final section.

    1. Nocturnal Gray by Benjamin Moore (2135-30)

Nocturnal Gray – LRV: 13.81 (LRV, or Light Reflectance Value is a scale commonly used by design professionals where 0 = absolute black and 100 is pure white.)

Benjamin Moore – Nocturnal Gray (2135-30)

Nocturnal Gray by Benjamin Moore is an interesting color that burrs the line somewhere between blue, green, and gray.

In the kitchen below, I love the use of Nocturnal Gray for the under-cabinets, and a neutral white for the upper-cabinets.

A smoky charcoal with a hint of teal, this dark hue channels the moody allure of evening.

    2. Cracked Pepper by BEHR (PPU18-1)

Cracked Pepper – LRV: 8 (LRV, or Light Reflectance Value is a scale commonly used by design professionals where 0 = absolute black and 100 is pure white.)

    BEHR – Cracked Pepper (PPU18-1)

Cracked Pepper is part of Behr paint’s black paint color family. With an LRV of 8, this is truly a rich, dark paint color.

Although it is dark, it’s not really a jet black color. It has much more of a deep charcoal gray vibe.

    3. Cityscape by Sherwin-Williams (SW 7067)

Cityscape – LRV: 22 (LRV, or Light Reflectance Value is a scale commonly used by design professionals where 0 = absolute black and 100 is pure white.)

    Sherwin-Williams – Cityscape (SW 7067)

As day shifts into night, you’ll discover a new layer of nuance in this deep gray. Its neutral undertone allows endless possibilities for color combinations.
