    2024: Year of the Jewel Tone Paint Colors

    You’ll notice that many of the colors on this list are from a jewel-toned color palette with bold, deep color tones. Jewel tone paint colors are the newest trend for 2024, and it’s looking like it is going to be very popular!​

    What are jewel tone paint colors?

    These paint colors are inspired by natural stones like ruby, sapphire, emerald, and amethyst. While they’re a darker, more rich color tone they still have a classic vibe – like they’ve been around for decades.

    If you’ve been a little nervous about adding bright colors in your decor, paint is a great way to do it. It’s inexpensive, you can do it yourself, and it’s easy to change up down the road if you want a different look. 👍🏻

    Galápagos Turquoise is a brilliantly bold and dark teal that’s sure to be a promenade centerpiece in any room’s color palette. It’s the perfect mix of blue and green, creating a rich turquoise color. It’s simply stunning!

    This color is one of Benjamin Moore’s featured jewel-toned paint colors for 2024!

    October Mist was Benjamin Moore’s color of the year for 2022. And for good reason – this color is gorgeous with it’s warm undertones and subtle green-gray hue.

    Benjamin Moore is definitely one of my favorite brands, so I’m always excited for their top color of the year.

    October Mist is still trending for 2024 and looks beautiful on both walls and cabinets. Try it out in your home for a warm, welcoming vibe.

    Another amazing paint color that’s trending for 2024: Evergreen Fog. This time by Sherwin-Williams.

    Green gray paint colors are definitely part of the latest trend in paint colors, and Evergreen Fog is a definite favorite. This stunning paint color is a dark grayish olive green that is complex, and interesting.

    One of my favorite trending colors is Big Cypress by PPG Paints. This is a fun, warm color that’s sure to make any room feel relaxed and inviting.

    PPG Paints describes the color as:

    Big Cypress is a saturated, shaded, ginger orange with a persimmon undertone. It is a perfect paint color for a warm, huggable room. Pair it with cherry or mahogany woods and touches of gold.

    Urbane Bronze (SW 7048) by Sherwin-Williams

    Urbane Bronze – LRV: 8 (LRV, or Light Reflectance Value is a scale commonly used by design professionals where 0 = absolute black and 100 is pure white.)

    With a LRV of only 8, Urbane Bronze is one of the darkest non-black colors you’ll find – this makes it an excellent accent color.

    Urbane Bronze was Sherwin-Williams’ 2021 color of the year and it’s still going strong. Sherwin-Williams is the largest paint company in the world, so this award is a huge honor.

    With its green undertones, Urbane Bronze will appear as a dark charcoal greige in most lighting conditions. This trending interior paint color looks great on cabinets as well. Think kitchens, laundry rooms, bathrooms and even mudrooms.

    This brilliantly bold paint color from Sherwin-Williams is sure to grab the attention in any room! Cut the Mustard is a strong color, and it’s best used as a feature wall, or accent color.

    Instantly brighten any space in your home with this top color for 2024. It’s deep amber hues instantly make me think of topaz, the birthstone for all you November babies!

    Check out Cut The Mustard used in the bathroom below. The prominently featured wall contrasts nicely agains the other true white walls and ceilings.

    Canyon Dusk (S210-4) by Behr

    Canyon Dust – LRV: 37 (LRV, or Light Reflectance Value is a scale commonly used by design professionals where 0 = absolute black and 100 is pure white.)

    Canyon Dust (S210-4) was featured in the Behr Color Trends Palette, and ended up becoming the Behr color of the year.

    As the name implies, this color looks like a dusty trail you’d see surrounded by red rock canyons. Gorgeous!

    Aegean Teal – LRV: 25.13 (LRV, or Light Reflectance Value is a scale commonly used by design professionals where 0 = absolute black and 100 is pure white.)

    Benjamin Moore is one of my favorite brands of paint, so naturally I get excited for their paint color awards each year.

    Aegean Teal was Benjamin Moore’s 2021 Paint Color Of The Year. If you’re looking for a bold and interesting new paint color, make sure to check out Aegean Teal.

    For my personal design style, teal usually isn’t my thing. But I’m kinda loving Aegean Teal as a door color like in the photo below – I might have to try it out!

    Deep Pine (DEA180) by Dunn-Edwards

    Deep Pine by Dunn Edwards Paints is the best jewel tone green paint color. With a LRV of only 5, this paint color is extremely dark, and the rich green hue is seriously gorgeous.

    The trending colors for 2024 are all about creating unique spaces that sets your home apart from others, and Deep Pine by Dunn Edwards will do just that!

    The color has some blue undertones which can make it appear slightly teal, especially with tons of natural light. I love the way it looks against the wood planked ceiling in the photo below.

    If you’re looking for something bold and dark in the red paint color family, check out Carnelian by Sherwin-Williams.

    It’s an interesting earth-tone red that has brown undertones.

    Grape juice by Benjamin Moore is another hybrid red paint color. It has a red base that is infused with a blast of additional colors to give it the sweet red wine vibe.

    This is a pretty intense color, so it needs to be strategically worked into a room’s design style, and color palette.
