As I start to prepare for all things motherhood, I can’t help but have baby items on the brain. One of the things I was really excited about getting was a diaper bag!
I knew I wanted a bag that was stylish and didn’t *look* like a traditional diaper bag, and I definitely wanted it to be roomy with lots of organization.

There are so many cute and functional diaper bag options out there today, but I hit the jackpot with the Lily Jade Madeline Diaper Bag. I’ve already been using this bag as my daily purse and, you guys – this thing is amazing!!
Lily Jade Diaper Bag Review
Lily Jade was kind enough to send me their Madeline bag in Camel & Gold to try and it has already become my favorite bag I’ve ever owned. It has so many unique features, but let me tell you about some of my favorites!
The Quality
When I first took the bag out of the wrapping, the first thing I noticed was the gorgeous smell of leather. The Madeline bag is made from full grain leather which means with the proper care, it will last for years and years!
Not to mention, the leather is buttery soft and feels amaaaaazing! It is so pretty in person, and the fact that it is a fully functional diaper bag, makes it pretty unbelievable.
All of the Lily Jade bags have magnetic closures, so even if it looks like there may be complicated buckles, don’t worry – they’re just for show. The bag easily (and quietly!) opens and closes using magnets, which I love!
The bottom of the bag is structured with luggage feet so it stands up well on its own and protects the bag from rough surfaces. Each bag has a pretty leather tassel with natural stone beads that adds the perfect little detail.

The Versatility
I was drawn to the Lily Jade brand because all of their bags are perfectly designed to hold anything and everything in an organized, systematic way while also having the option to be worn in 3 functional styles.
Removable Organizer
Lily Jade diaper bags come with a 12 pocket organizer that you can easily move between handbags. The pockets in the organizer are all nice and deep, so you can easily fit a baby bottle, sippy cup, your own water bottle, etc.
I especially love that the organizer is machine washable for easy cleanup when needed.
It also includes a matching changing pad.
The organizer is a great option for when you need to coral all the mama/baby things, but it can easily be removed when you want to transition the diaper bag to your every day bag or use it for travel.
Multiple Ways To Wear
Besides the versatility of the removable organizer, I really love that this bag can be worn multiple ways.
The Lily Jade Madeline can be worn as a shoulder bag; probably one of the quickest ways to just grab your bag and go. The handles are soft, wide and extra long, so it sits extremely comfortably on your shoulder using the double handles.
But it also comes with an adjustable, detachable extra long strap for cross-body carry…
…and backpack carry! Woot!
This is a huge selling point for most parents because having a backpack option on a diaper bag means you can go completely hands-free. The backpack style is also probably the most comfortable, and spreads the weight across both shoulders when you’ve really packed a lot for the day.
I honestly feel that for a diaper bag to be functional, the backpack option is a must.
The Functionality
The Lily Jade Madeline bag perfectly holds all my things, including my laptop (most bags are not quite wide enough so this is a massive win!), making it a perfect bag for any occasion.
I really like that the main compartment is spacious, but it also has a lot of great pockets on the inside as well as exterior zippered pockets and side pockets for cups.
The outside pockets are deceptively HUGE, and can fit bottles in those pockets as well. I’ve also been using them for storing my phone and love the easy access!
All the pockets make it easy to find spots to put everything you need and then some. There really is generous amounts of room in the bag.
I also really like the depth of this bag. It’s easy to reach into and opens wide so you can see all of your essentials.
So if you’re considering a diaper bag, I absolutely recommend the Lily Jade Madeline. I love that it looks sleek and high end, yet has tons of organizational systems for all the mama/baby necessities!
