    Hydrangeas & Pumpkins

Who says hydrangeas are only for summer? I love this fall outdoor decor idea using coordinating pumpkins and hydrangeas in pretty pastel oranges and greens. (These faux hydrangea stems on Amazon look almost identical to the ones in the photo above!)

Finish off the look with a dried wreath and layered doormats.

    A Little Batty

Our 2022 fall porch at the condo

Looking for a simple way to decorate your small front porch for Halloween? Hang these cute 3D bat decals all over your front door for an fast way to make your fall porch feel spooky.

Tip: Take down the bats (and jack-o-lanterns) after October 31st to instantly make this setup less Halloweeny and last through the rest of fall.

Recreate the rest of my tiny fall porch look with this oversized checkered doormat, geometric jute doormat, wood lantern, and dried wheat wreath (similar).

    Simple & Welcoming

Keep your fall front door simple with a few pumpkins layered on either side of your porch step. Bring in some height with a wooden stool (I have this one and LOVE it!) and place a planter full of mums on top.

If you have a small front porch, or just want to keep things minimal, these are easy (and cheap!) ways to dress up your front porch for fall.

    Keep It Practical

This minimal fall front porch is the perfect amount of festive without being cluttered. A rake leaning against the house next to a basket of leaves is a simple way to decorate your porch for fall with things you probably already have laying around the house (or garage).

Recreate the look with this handmade basket wicker basket. So cute!

A cozy throw blanket draped over the stack of firewood brings in some coziness while a dried wreath adorns the door for the simplest touch of fall.

    Cute Fall Porch Details

I snapped this photo of my mom’s fall porch decor to share with you because… just look how cute this is!

If you want a simple and easy idea, try grouping a few of your favorite fall decor pieces together next to your front door. You can’t go wrong with pumpkins, lanterns and a cute fall sign. (This one is metal making it perfect for outdoors and it’s less than $5!)

Tip: Use an upside down crate to elevate some of the decorations and add height to the fall vignette.

    Mums & Magnolias

Keep it classic with pretty mums in galvanized buckets, but then add interest with a magnolia leaf wreath on the door. (This one from Amazon has gold detail that is perfect for the autumn season.)

White pumpkins and layered doormats finish off this simple, yet oh so cozy, fall front porch.

    Go Antique

Think outside the box and incorporate some antiques in your festive fall front porch, like the old wood chair above. What it lacks in function (no seat!), it makes up for in cute rustic fall vibes.

Bring the look together with white pumpkins and black lanterns.

Tip: This 8pc set of white pumpkins from Amazon would be perfect for a simple fall front porch. If you don’t use them all outside, use them to decorate inside for an easy & affordable fall decor idea.

    Think Vertical

Short on space? Decorate your small front porch for fall by stacking items vertically. Mums in a galvanized bucket don’t take up much room when stacked on top of an old milk jug.

A vertical DIY welcome sign and a few pumpkins say ‘Come on in!’ with a nod to the autumn season.

    Tiered Shelves

Add dimension to your front porch decor with a tiered shelf to hold decorations.  Small pumpkins, pine cones, sticks and dried corn cobs are all perfect for fall – and with a little creativity – the possibilities are endless with this tiered shelf.

Having a chalkboard on top makes the shelves even more versatile. You can change up the message and keep using it year round!

I was surprised how cheap these rustic tiered shelves are! In the image above, I love how Live Laugh Rowe styled the shelves with simple, natural fall decor, and wrote “HAPPY FALL” on the chalkboard. Cute!

    Neutral Colors

Neutral colored decor creates an understated, natural vibe that is perfect for fall. Try using light colored pumpkins and straw bales as the main feature of your fall front porch decor.

The Grace House Interiors did an amazing job decorating this front porch for fall!  White mums complement the light pumpkins and straw bales on this front porch styled for fall. Plus, these classic candle lanterns (Amazon) are a fall decorating staple!

    Layered Rugs

Try layering a doormat over a flat-weave rug for a fresh look this fall. In the front porch above, Chris loves Julia uses a bold black and white buffalo check pattern rug under a simple ‘WELCOME’ doormat. The contrast is sunning!

    Vintage Crock Planters

A vintage crock can instantly add farmhouse charm to any front porch. Try an using a vintage crock as a planter (Amazon) to house your fall flowers and mums.

Keep an eye out for used crocks at garage sales, and second hand stores. With a little luck, you can find one for cheap.

Stoneware crocks, mums, and small pumpkins are paired beautifully by Liz Marie Blog in the front porch above.

    Decorate With Branches

Add some extra fall flare to your front porch by attaching wispy branches over entryway. This is a budget-friendly (free!) DIY option that will help keep your fall decorating budget to a minimum!

Use small staples, nails or even thumbtacks to mount the branches to your entryway. This quick, easy DIY project should only take a few minutes.

    Monochromatic Decor

Go for a monochromatic look by using white pumpkins, dried corn stalks and a pop of gold. These monochromatic decor options pair nicely with the other fall decorations on this front porch.

I’m also loving the rustic white stool, and the candle lantern that Taryn Whiteaker added to this porch! This wood step stool from amazon would be so cute!

    Layer Textiles

Bring on the cozy by layering a throw blanket, and a cute throw pillow on your favorite porch chair. This idea is perfect for enjoying your outdoor space on those chilly fall evenings.

Love the tree stump side table? Me too! I found a similar tree stump table on Amazon so you can recreate the look!

    Use everyday items

Using everyday items to decorate your home for fall is another great way to save money. Checkout the leaf rake, basket of leaves, rain boots, and fresh picked apples that Boxwood Avenue uses to decorate this front porch for fall.

Sometimes, simple items that you have laying around the house make the best decor!

    Blanket Scarf

Drape a plaid blanket scarf over a wood chair for an easy fall look. Add a few pumpkins or gourds, and mums to make this simple decor idea extra cute!

    Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins!

When in doubt, fill a front porch with pumpkins.  Sometimes when decorating for fall, the more pumpkins the better!

Orange colored mums complement the fall pumpkin vibe nicely. Complete the look with a golden colored straw bale.

    Beverage Cart

Repurpose an outdoor beverage cart to house some pretty mums and a cute wooden sign. The green rubber boots are a nice little functional decor addition as well.

    Early Halloween

Try adding a dose of early Halloween to your front porch with these cute burlap flags that spell BOO. Hanging burlap letters from an antique ladder is a subtle way to incorporate some fun Halloween hints without going full on ‘carved pumpkins’ and ‘skeletons’.

I also love the hay bale, and the full height corn stocks in this fall front porch by Our Vintage Home Love.

    Greenery & Gourds

If you have greenery and plants on your front porch, try decorating for fall with green gourds and un-shucked ears of corn.

Bringing in green decorations for fall will help you tie together your fall decor with your existing greenery.

    Chalkboard Sign

Write a cute welcome message on a chalkboard for an easy fall front porch makeover. If you don’t have a chalkboard, try making your own DIY chalkboard with this black chalkboard paint (Amazon). It’s a fun, budget friendly way to decorate for fall.

    DIY Pumpkin Topiary

Get your DIY on, and create a pumpkin topiary! You can make a pumpkin topiary by using a hot glue gun, and gluing faux pumpkins to each other.

    Tree Slices

Create a rustic and woodsy vibe by using these cheap faux tree slices from Amazon to prop up a basket of mums. Layer in a few pine cones and pumpkins for a simple and affordable fall front porch look.

    The Perfect Amount of Spooky

How cute is this front porch all dressed up for Halloween? The floating witches hats are so fun, and the happy jack-o-lantern planters keep it from feeling too spooky.

Leave the corn stalks up after Halloween is over, and turn the jack-o-lanterns around to look like regular pumpkin planters for a non-Halloween fall front porch.

    Layered Lanterns

Short on space? Grab a set of black lanterns and fill them with mini white pumpkins for an instant fall vibe. Layer in a small pot of mums for a pop of color.

    DIY ‘Welcome’ Pumpkin

Feelin’ crafty? Create a cute welcome sign by writing on a pumpkin using a chalk marker. This DIY pumpkin sign is so cute, and you could come up with whatever saying you want.

And since it’s a chalk marker, if you mess up while you’re doing the writing, you can just wipe off the mistake and redo it. Easy peasy!
